Friday Fives: The Top Five Worship Songs from 5 Years Ago

Do you remember worship services in 2009? Does it seem like a long time ago or just yesterday? Remember what songs were played in your church?

CCLI does. Christian Copyright Licensing International has been around since the late 80’s licensing Christian worship songs to churches so they can use the songs in their services. CCLI then tracks the frequency of use in order to pay the songs’ composers appropriately.

These are the songs that were most often used in churches five years ago. The survey was taken from October 2008 through March 2009 and published for August 2009.

That’s this week’s Friday Fives courtesy of CCLI.
